Reviews

I 'm amazed at the other reviewers complained about the leap year indicator, consider the 29 days in February in a leap year. I like the fact that I need to set the date If it is set. This is my third Seiko kinetic.

I just bought this watch at Kohls for $ 244.00 + $ 50.00 Kohl's cash! What a deal.

I 've had this watch for several months and I love this watch. And 'the best watch I ' ve ever owned. I especially like the perpetual date and the fact that I can easily see the date even with my old tired eyes. I get compliments on this watch so, because the gold on a black background is very distinctive and elegant looking. The finish does not come off, contrary to what some reviewers have said. The finish is actually closer to a black gloss of what the image would. The clock dial and the band are actually very close in color. The clock has a very attractive design model that can 't be fully appreciated in the picture.

very shiny black, almost like black chrome, but better. It stands on all other stainless steel and gold watches, everybody has those days. During the kinetic movement can 't be beaten in this price range.

Arrived as promised, new, on time and in perfect condition. Very smooth transaction. I watch a month, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

This is a very nice watch, but in my opinion, has some defects, severe. I came back I would watch because of this. R Rone of the qualities that I liked this watch was his attractive black finish. It 's stainless steel anodised, which should increase the wear resistance (but not prevent). In fact, a Seiko seller told me that there are scratches, because this, like black metal everywhere. Of course, this is not true, in my opinion anodized for many things, but here 's used to increase resistance to wear and offers a better grip on the top layer (anodized If anyone knows more about, please feel free to comment.) R rNevertheless I hoped that the black finish dissipates over time, but not easily, or the first week. Furthermore, I only used it in the office, and even kept under the hat. When he left the goal was to hand - obviously caused by the use of a keyboard and rest the arm on the table. The links all the way from the latch of the crown (one side) wear creating a vein of silver in the environment. R rthe end should not have lost this facility, but as a warning to those concerned in this color, I would not use while using a keyboard if the arm rests on the desktop, and definitely not for sports or activities outdoors. R rthe another matter, although not a big deal is the kinetic function and the size of the clock, although I understand that this is the preference. Apparently, the Seiko Kinetic movement does not fit in a small package (that 's why it ' s not offered in women 's watches). However, another problem is the function of sleep. Note that this is not an automatic watch, but a quartz (they call a "automatic quartz"). Use only the automatic movement to store energy in a rechargeable battery (or some type of capacitor), which then powers the quartz movement. After 24 hours of inactivity, go into sleep mode, but continues over time. At the time of his way not maintained by quartz movement, but a microchip. In my opinion, it cancels the advantage of precision quartz watches automatic movement due to the precision can be lost each time the clock came from a dream, and as an automated system can still be adjusted when necessary wake up (as the manual advises Seiko). However, the IC is estimated at plus / minus 15 seconds per month, so it 's not much, but worth highlighting. I think a better design would be to put in sleep mode only when the battery is low.Better yet, just use a regular battery and do with it (long rechargeable battery will be replaced in any case - at a cost much higher). This also reduces the size and weight. After all, is a quartz. There 's nothing wrong with a quartz (quartz I prefer), but if you want an automatic, get a real. Seiko makes great watches auto incredibly cheap, and the same price of this watch, you can get a nice Tissot Swiss made, such as SAB 516. R anything that the professionals: r R1. The perpetual calendar is a great feature, I had more watches that feature (why I bought). R R2. Seiko quartz movements keep good time, although the flow a little faster (about 2 seconds per week, however, that 's still good) r R3. Besides the attractive view r R4. Very well built and durable (except for the finish of the band) r RI still recommend seeing it if you like the style, but suggest the silver, and only for those who don 't mind a larger and slightly heavier clock ...

I bought this watch through one of the vendors that supply the Amazon (to waive having to pay sales tax here in the state of Washington). I have a titanium Seiko with a calendar of lifelong bought about 8 years ago that still works great (albeit with batteries) and keeps great time (added about 5 sec per month). Having had to replace the battery and having to find a shop that can watch Get the battery and can install it and reset the calendar, I found that a rather tedious process. R RI decide it is time to get a replacement watch and decide on a Seiko Kinetic with a perpetual calendar battery avoiding such issues in the entire 4 or 5 years. I really wanted the SNP016, but have found it has been discontinued and pretty much unavailable, but SNP017 is still available and was identical to 016 except the color. Watch is wonderful. This is a very elegant look to it and of high quality. It has some weight to it (something I m 'still getting used to as my other watch is titanium and a lot lighter). Never the less, the Black and Gold look of the watch is very fashionably and the accuracy of the clock does not appear in line with my previous Seiko (about a half a second to get every month). I need high accuracy in a Seiko watch and it fits the bill. When I received the watch, I must go and have some links taken out of the band, but the local jewelery store only charged me $ 5 to do that. I get a great deal to watch and it appears that the clock is no longer in production either, so it becomes less and less available, it 's price seems to be taking a little bit higher. Seiko For some reason, seems to have stopped making Coutura line, they are becoming more difficult to find. It 's now on sale for about $ 50 more than I was able to get it for only 6 weeks ago. The quality of the watch from a respected name to watch. I feel I got a good product.

I had this watch for 6 months. I agree with other reviewers, it seems much better than in pictures. R rSometimes at work, when the watch is hidden under my sleeve, and I let it show, looks on the faces of people around me is Like A Girl "blinked " it "boobs " in front of them, excuse my expression.

I had the watch for about a year. It keeps excellent time and is very beautiful. I get a lot of positive comments about it. She also has a large date display, good for those of us with older eyes.

I did my research before I bought the watch and this was on top of my list compared with watches 2-3 times its list price. From looks and quality to function I 'm very happy with my purchase. I agree, it does not shows the day of the week, does not has an alarm, etc, but neither do many watches way more expensive and not as good looking as this one. And yes, it 's all about looks and quality, if it was just for function a $ 5 plastic watch would have done it. R rJ.

It 'sa very good watches. Indeed Seiko is a company that produces godd quality and modern products.

If it were possible, my assessment would have to be present to somewehre between 4.5 and 4.9. All the other reviewers hit the nail on the head! This watch does exactly what it says, and beautiful. R rWhile some bird on a seemingly superfluous "Leap Year Dial ", they fail to realize that it 's just this link that makes this watch as a wonder. In charge of kinetic energy with energy saving feature to ensure that you 'll never need a battery change, you will never have to also set the date again. How many watches actually have those two characteristics?! R RI only some minor reservations, so the list I 'll them first. R rCONS: r-Weight: The clock is sometimes listed as " titanium" But it's really a bit heavy (but not unbearable) r resources calendar: the day of the week r-Finish: requires constant cleaning as 's very prone to stains. Also easy to zero. This is not a good watch for outdoor activities:) r rPROS: r-impeccable punctuality: in addition to the excellent calendar, watch this doesn 't miss a beat, and go to "sleep " after 24 To ensure that hours of inactivity. R-Finish: looks gorgeous. Depending on the light, it 'sa nice black, shiny gunmetal or light. R-Size: I have a very small wrist, and although this is a fairly large watch, it still fits comfortably around an adaptation of the band. R - Bezel: practically zero free, clear, easy to clean, and bright r-Price: While the list is $ 775, most places will sell about $ 450. I 'd expect a watch like this to sell for thousands of people. R conclusion rin, any watch aficionado will appreciate this watch for it 's beauty and features, it is a well crafted piece of jewelry. You 'll just have to get used to cleaning and using a watch that ' s slightly heavier than most.

I spent some time looking for a good show worthy of faith that would last long after I went through a string of cheap watches that barely lasted me on average 2 years each time. I thought when I saw a Klaus Kobec there about 4 years, but sure enough after about 2 years, he started giving me problems so I decided to spend a little more quality and after a lot of research online, I came across this Seiko watch who claimed to be able to perform without ever having to change batteries. R RLIKE Everyone else, I had heard of Seiko and I figured a brand that has sponsored sporting events as official timekeeper can not be half as bad and I decided to take a chance . I deliberately held off doing this review for several months because I wanted to be as objective as possible and to give this show a chance to disappoint my first impressions during the first months, but I was "disappointed " . This is by far the best shows I've ever owned and I love the way, if you don 't take this show for a long period of time and if the kinetic energy is exhausted when you put it on your arm and swing for a little show Automatically adjusts the correct time. This new kinetic technology amazes me and I 'm glad that I'll put some euro having to change battery usually over many years that I waited to use this watch. R rthe Display is also very pretty and looks even more closely than the picture on this site doesn 't do it justice. C 's been a few months now and now I ' ve given enough time for the novelty to wear off, I can say that I still like this watch a lot and I see myself wearing this for a long, long time to come. R rHighly recommended!

First of all I would like to state that the photo on the Amazon web site of the Seiko SNP017 doesn 't come close to the real beauty Demonstrating rof this watch. Both the case and the band is a glossy black color. R RAS soon as you pick it up you realize this watch is not cheaply made. I know is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. R rI took it to a local dept store to have it resized and called Amazon reimbursable if they would me. A classy move by Amazon credited my account for the charge. R rthe watch came with almost the correct time. Not bad. Only 1 min fast. Probably set that way. Not a problem. R rif the leap year indicator would be replace by a day indicator watch this would be perfect. Are you listing Seiko?

I ordered this watch for me online. I have other watches Nice, but I really like the convenience of never having to wind (date or time). It also seems very good as well.

The SNP017 is a really good to see, and Seiko quality is evident in its construction. However, the functions of the clock are puzzling. There is a small dial that the Leap Year, which specifies how 's important. It is as always promoted the right time, why the need to select a Leap Year? It does not have an indicator for the days of the week, I found much more useful than one would vote for Leap Year. The only other functional deficiencies, in my opinion is that the hands may be too narrow and difficult to see if it is too dark or a bright light on the watch glass.

This is a wonderful watch. Looks great, works great. Buy a watch as a Christmas Gift for my husband and he said it was the best Seiko Watch he belongs. Watch is new to the Seiko Men 's Couture Collection this year is pretty pricey I looked everywhere for it. I found the best price from selling on amazon.com the "WatchZone ".

My husband 's' Hobby "is collecting watches. I bought a Couture last year for his birthday in December. I loved it. He had a EcoDrive, but the clock was losing time. It is also a good watch have in Iowa, a lot of snow, the sun is not enough. kinetics The Couture is the perfect moment, the colors are beautiful. My latest acquisition, SNP017 is black, polished, and very elegant. It's his choice. Definitely a colleague Collectors of clocks and when you're worried about going to the Rolex. See this qualifies as very expensive pieces of time. Lisa B Waukee, Iowa

I 'man who masters his research before buying, and I also think I have a good style. This watch was compared to watches ranging from $ 100 to $ 3000, and none that had the style it had. Speaking with a daily show a chance! It will also be elegant with a dress for her with casual wear. The price is very expensive to watch any, but here 's my pro ' s and con 's r rpro ' s: r1) Beauty R2) Sapphire crystal lens that can be removed unless done so by sapphire, diamond, or perhaps other gems (?). R3) drive = Kinetic worry ever again on drums. R4) Holds date and time if it goes into power saving mode (up to 4 years if it was fully charged before the power saving mode) - simply shake and it will adjust automatically! Power-saving mode is activated only if the watch has not moved for 24 hours. R5) Perpetual Calendar - never having to change the date to take account of leap years, or 28-31 days in a month. R6) It 'sa Seiko! R rcon 's: r1) No timer, alarm, chronograph. R2) Cost (subjective) r rthe lack nothing, but time and schedule has been a huge disappointment for me that I often use the timer or an alarm on my watch. However, I have a cell phone that can easily double for such tasks, or other items that I can use to fill that void. The watch was a graduation gift from my parents (yes, I helped them take me;)), and I know I will cherish every time I see it - for many years to come!
