About Seiko In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. In 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "Seiko" meaning "exquisite", "success" or "miniature" and "sha" meaning "house". The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the history of the company. Key milestones include the introduction of Seiko's first quartz watch in the world in 1969, and its successful launch in 1988 of the kinetics, the first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic and World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand still stands for the state of the art technology and quality and refined design.

This look Rolex not resemble the first Seiko 5 Automatic've ever purchased. Over the years they have proved to be Hardy hits. It just arrived in the mail and I was surprised to see how it looks like a real rolex except for the crown offset and the absence of plaque on the date, it seems very similar. Nice clean looking and a good price. A draw back is that the band was too tight. But I called Seiko and they send me a free tape from which I can extract all the links I want, probably 3). R Rnic dress watch.
And the build quality is very good to watch. Classic, elegant design with a robust automatic movement inside. Recommended!
Watch is sold and shipped by 007 WatchMidpoint and it came super fast, given the fact that they are in Houston, so I I. R rit came outside cover, blue box, instructions for a quick setup (Xerox copies), printed manual and warranty card. R ri is looking to add a dress watch white face in my little collection and I thought one has fit the bill but I think it wrongly. R rFirst all good: r r1) Confy r2) fairly accurately r3) n markers glow Lumibrite hand is very good. R4) Then total is modest. R rthe bad: r r1) The bracelet is dirt cheap and blingy too my taste. I have this watch in my cart and after the purchase, the picture is a different one, more accurate to what shown on this page. R r2) The size of the case, without the crown is 35.5 mm, which is too small to my taste. (My wrist is 7 3 / 4) r r3) The day and date don 't align horizontally as they should. R RI 'm skeptical still keeping or returning it. R rGood luck. R RPS: back.
This Seiko is a good imitation Rolex base with day / date. After the first few days, is an accurate time keeper. It is lightweight, and has the solid feel of a real Rolex. Touch the crystal and gives a little rattly, report high frequency. The band is not very comfortable, is the prickly feeling. However, the crystal appears to be resisting scratches from all the bumps and rubs against the walls. Bottom line, for the price, this is a spectacular watch - self-winding automatic real (mechanical) simple and modest in appearance, I 'm happy with this one. R RUPD. First impression of the band was inaccurate. It's comfortable. I think it just looked like it would Pinchy. Anyway, I went on a frenzy cheap watch. Couldn 't help myself. He took 2 Lucienne Piccards, including the drop-dead gorgeous chronograph Morpheus, and Paris dressy Diamond 2-Tone. I find myself wearing the Seiko more than others. Perhaps because it is lighter, maybe it 's because it must be used so that doesn ' t run down and stop. R RALS, I animated the Seiko 'if Morpheus ' s bright displays with an LED flashlight. Seiko really lights up beautifully, brightest of the group (including the former Swiss Army Officer 's see.) R rin any case, for the money, I ' d Seiko raise this to a full 5 stars if I had waited before posting my review.
Seiko 5 Automatic Self-Winding Classic Style Watch Model SNXJ89K1 r rRuns too fast. 5 minutes every few days! It is not acceptable by any standard. Second attempt with a Seiko 5 and the last. If you want a timer and can 't afford to spend a couple get a great unity of the citizens ecc. More reliable then kenetic Seiko and not the battery.
The strap is too small for the average American man. Connections are not readily available, if at all.
After many years of collecting watches, I 'm falling again in the Seiko watch! Where you can find affordability, durability, and realiability a watch? Seiko "5 " is your answer. Seiko "5 " is probably the most affordable of all automatic watches from any brand, and are involved in death. Seiko "5 " means, 1.dat, 2.Day, 3.Automatic, 4.Shock resistant, 5.Water resistance. This model in particular, it 'sa rolex style. It is stainless steel bracelet (birthday) and the case, see through back, scratch resistance Hardlex crystal, luminous hands and markers, water resistance to 100 feet, 21 jewel automatic movement cal. 7S26, and 1 year warranty. Where you can find all that for less than $ 100? Watch this may be modified for accuracy, but I would recommend a waiting period of several months for the movement to settle. When you dress up, this is the watch I wear. It 's comfortable, classic, and gorgeous. The same watch upgraded to water resist 100m (330ft) is called "Sport ". Saphire to Crystal and a 23 jewel automatic movement, "Superior ".
