Kinetic: A powerhouse of technology in innovationLike mechanical and quartz, Kinetic is a platform. During the last 20 years, SEIKO has created on this platform a suite of Kinetic movements, each with unique features to be consumer.It Basel Fair in 1986 which launched the first prototype of SEIKO Kinetic. Introduced under the trial name of 'AGM', it is the world's first clock to change the kinetic movement into electrical energy. This is the first step in the development, 20 years later, has made Kinetic synonymous with environmentally friendly, high performance and long-lasting comfort to generations of users around the world. From launch in 1988 the first commercially available watch (then under the new name AGS) until today, more than eight million Kinetic watches have been sold (as of 2007). In 1998, the Kinetic Auto Relay was released, Expanding 'on - off' period of operation hours for 4-year exceptional. 1999 saw the launch of Ultimate Kinetic Chronograph, a masterpiece which is one of the best of SEIKO's mechanical and electronic watch making skills, and in 2003 another Kinetic Chronograph was launched. At Baselworld 2005, the Kinetic Perpetual made the first appearance, the Kinetic combines comfort and longevity with a perpetual calendar, correct for the year 2100.
