Seiko watches - indispensable for the lifestyle of today. Seiko watches - an important accessory for today's lifestyle. With rugged good looks to match its superior performance, this professional dive watch from Seiko is an excellent choice for all your adventures - or out of water. The wide 45 millimeters steel case showcases an orange dial with bold luminous hands and markers, a luminous second hand, and a large day / date display at three hours o'clock. A highly scratch-resistant curved Hardlex crystal enlarges the line, enhancing its readability. The dial is framed by a unidirectional rotating steel bezel with engraved dive time markers for safe timing of dives and other limited events. The 21-jewel Japan automatic movement means that this watch winds itself with the natural movement of the wrist and does not require a battery. The watch has a durable molded rubber strap with a buckle closure. Designed for scuba diving, which has a screw-down crown and caseback and is rated water resistant to 200 meters. About Seiko In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. Since 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from "Seiko" meaning "exquisite", "success" or "miniature" and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the history of the company. Key steps include the introduction of Seiko quartz first look at the world in 1969, and its launch in 1988, the Kinetic, the world's first battery-Watch Free with a precision quartz. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to be for the state of the art of modern technology, as well as superior quality and refined design.

I recently bought a Seiko Orange Monster from Amazon. Overall I am very pleased with this experience. It was a very clean operation, with rapid transfer as advertised. The clock keeps excellent time and is very well done. The machining is clean and sharp that you can expect from products Japaneese. I can not find a single flaw in it. It's sure to orange (but that 's what I asked). The only problem I have is that it is not as big as I expected. It is a great clock when compared to a Wenger GST for example, but not as big as a Grand Seiko. It looks sporty and a little dressy. It would look more handsome if you have a black, but if you are wanting to "big " to go with a Grand Seiko (not the professional diver, which is smaller). But, again, Seiko makes some powerful things good for the money and if you are wanting waterproffing strict punctuality and good I think this is a good choice.

Very good to watch the cost, less than $ 200. Gains of about one minute every two hours. I can handle it. Very easy to read in low light. If you don 't wear the watch all the time, you can shake it back and forth about a minute to keep it wound. My only regret when I bought the watch is that I don 't get a metal band for an extra $ 15. Now I can 't find a place for less than $ 50. You can find rubber bands everywhere for less than $ 20. But watch generally very nice.

Ok, so with the new larger 52mm gold watches becoming the new standard of divers watches, the old "Orange Monster " isn 't the Behemoth It Used To Be. RBut if you 're looking for a watch that will outlast you, they don ' t eat any better than this one. After 10 years, two worn-out crystals and six bands, my "monster " is still going strong. Yes, I had to repair twice the numbers on the bezel, but its the least i can do to dress up an old friend. It still keeps good time and I 'm pretty sure the automatic movement will outlive me. If you are looking for the "gold standard" "in a traditional (and truly functional) you can watch divers 't do much better than this classic.

This is actually the second seiko dive watch I 've owned. They 're solid, durable, easy to service when necessary. The sweeping second hand took some getting used to; most dive watches have quartz movements. Be sure to read the instruction manual!

I bought Seiko Orange Monster so I wouldn 't mess my Rolex during weekend excursions. Now I find myself wearing it during the week. Its looks and functionality more demand and more wrist time and I was happy to oblige. The Orange Monster (OM) steers away from the "classic " diver 's watch design that we have become so accustomed to. I think it is a classic contemporary appeal. Watch This is an attention getter. I always receive compliments when in public. R caan / Crown r rthe box is constructed from solid 316L stainless steel and is extremely wide (42 mm) and heavy. You know when you watch it on your wrist. When viewed from the wrist, watch is a deep profile. It is a little less thick than my Sea Dweller so I'm going to guess that is somewhere around 13 mm. The case back is decorated with Seiko 's Scuba symbol design which is quite attractive. The 20 mm lugs are somewhat angular but I like the masculine look of it. Lug holes are drilled through the exchange of bracelet making an easy task. It also should be the case is constructed in such a fashion that rises to protect the bezel and crowns. Design does not affect the operation of the bezel and is a very well engineered handle. The screw-in crown is big and strong emotions. Finally because this is such a big watch, the crown was moved to the 4 o 'clock position so it sits as far out of the way as possible from the hand (if hand is bent backwards). R rMovement r rit is fairly accurate for automatic (15 secs every 24 hours) with beating a 23 jewel 7S26 movement designed and fabricated in-house by Seiko. Holding power for me is around 40 hours. The second sweep hand is a little more smooth (21,500 BPH) than my Rolex Sea Dweller (28,800 BPH) but for the price paid is quite acceptable. I wish it was a manual wind feature all it needs is some shakes if left alone for more than 40 hours. It lacks hack mechanism (where you pull out the crown and the second hand stop) but not in a group of Navy Seal and I need to synchronize my watch to the exact second to anything. RDial R / hand / Date r rthe watch is a great looking dial with uncluttered and very easy to read. The orange color used on the dial was first introduced by Doxa their research proved that the orange is the easiest color to read as saturated light conditions deteriorate. Time markers are over sized Which is a "signature" for models.Lume is the best I've seen you in a diver (with the exception of my Luminox using radioactive tritium gas filled tubes for markers). Hour and minute hands are beefy and well lumed. Seiko has also designed the hand so that the minute hand directly overlaps the hour hand, both are readable. This is a feature thought of anyone who has ever looked at their watches and thought "where my hand go? " This certainly appreciate the foresight with Which they did it. The OM includes a Day / Date window is too mababasa.Ang date can be set to either stake in Spanish or Français and the usual black text for weekdays are blue and red for Saturday to Sunday. Date change does not happen immediately like midnight in some of the higher end ETA movement. It takes approximately 4 hours (10-2) for the date change to occur. It also should be recorded in the chapter ring (The Edge of the dial) with waves up her side of the wall case. It gives the watch a three-dimensional depth and the assumption is just one more step further Seiko taken while designing this fantastic watch. R rBezel r rBezel action is smooth and expensive feel. The one-way ring 120 has indents, making them more specifically as it divides every minute by a factor of two. Major indents with outside bezel, making operation (even with gloves) a cinch. This is a superb design Seiko 's hands for them to have markings engraved on the bezel to bezel instead of print. It will add to the longevity of the watch. I like the fact bezel is a tad higher than the crystal provides a bit of protection for glass r rCrystal r rSeiko uses a proprietary compound developed in-house called Hardlex Which is less than the scratch resistant sapphire crystal to also more brittle. I smacked his watch the crystal several times and there is not a flaw in ... it yet! Crystal is slightly domed and Refracted reflections in a way that make it easy to read in sunlight (sort of a workaround to anti-reflective coatings). R rStrap r rthe cam watch Seiko 's rubber strap dive. It is stainless steel hardware and solid pine. I would be ready to betting is not a natural rubber compound is not to attract dust. Seems a little hard but I just wore it for several days so it may take a little longer than that to break-in I put a strap of NATO mine and now it is perfect for wake boarding, mountain biking, weekend and the overall fight. R rThis is hands-down the best price performance of the watch made for under $ 500.00. I would really recommend this watch to anyone with an active lifestyle! .. ..

I love this watch, and get many compliments on it. It 'sa nice size - it ' s great, but not as big as a lot of large clocks that are all the rage. Rthe power reserve lasts about 36 hours, so if you have more than one watch, you 'll want to get an automatic watch winder. Rthe only negative is that it Gaines a few minutes a week.

I'm so satisfied to watch it. Rthe clock is delivered on time. The more time goes by, it is more attractive.

First off, this is a great watch and an even greater value. No other true "Diver 's " watch (a watch must meet an ISO standard to be Able to say "diver ' s " on the face) with an in-house automatic movement comes even close to the Monster in price. r rSecond, here 'sa tip that works for most fast running monsters - assuming you wear the watch daily and are active enough to keep it wound well: When you take the watch off at bedtime leave it on the Dresser on its side with the crown pointing up. This slows the movement down enough that it will at least reduce the daily gain, if not cancel it out altogether. You 'll need to keep the watch running (preferably by wearing it) for at least a month before it settles in to a predictable daily gain (or loss). r rmy Black Monster has been running for about 6 months and gains about 6-8 seconds per day on my wrist and gives back 3-4 seconds overnight (crown up!) - that 'sa daily net gain of 2 -- 5 seconds. If your daily pursuits require accuracy better than that, you 're wound too tight! R rmy Orange Monster is a little bold for daily wear, and so hasn ' t run enough to improve beyond a gain of 15-20 seconds per day. Since I have to set it every time I wear it and I don 't usually wear it for more than a day, it ' s about inaccuracy is a non-issue. Besides, a $ 200 watch is jewelry, and as the end piece of jewelry this Seiko is a unbelievable value.

I spent considerable time reviewing the Seiko dive watches, I was torn between a model couple. I finally settled on the Orange Monster. I must admit I was a little concerned about the size. This fear quickly disappeared once I wore the watch. Now I wear it more than my Rolex Sea Dewell, who is also a very comfortable watch to wear. The orange monster gets 5 stars from me and keeps pretty good time for an automatic. I like the orange face, it is truly remarkable, but the overall comfort of wear is a function of his best. Furthermore, I doubt you could buy a watch of this quality for less money!

I have one of these. They lose a couple of minutes per week. The watch looks nice but the quality is not as good gem for one automatically. Bought mine in Saudi for about $ 110.00. I purchased the new sub Seiko SNM 035, black face and I noticed that it preserves much better time. The higher the rating gem will keep better time.

I 've got Orange and Black Monster. Both big watches you can actually dive with. Very solid automatic movement, luminous hands big, chunky styling en vogue. There is no better watch Deal diving around. There are problems with both my running fast, by the way. Seiko true manufacturing. Good luck finding a similar watch with in-house automatic movements for the same price elswhere!

Ive had this watch for about a year. This is a stunning watch, looks nice ... a problem, it runs very fast. Netword work for a news organization, and I need a time in every moment. My father has the same clock in black ... is fast too.

i looked around for a sports watch that not everyone was already wearing - and have enjoyed this one very much. The automatic watch is easy to handle as I do not wear this watch every day - the day / date setting is very easy to change. Also, i 'm not bothered in the least with the accuracy of the mechanical watch. R rit ' sa nice watch and I very much recommend it to others.

Well, just to comment on the first reviewers remarks, this watch does not require a battery. It is a mechanical automatic winding watch so I think he submitted the review on the wrong watch or his jeweler lied to him. rOtherwise, this is one of the best automatics that I own. Keeps good time and is comfortable to wear. Everyone must remember a mechanical watch will gain or lose a few minute a month and has to be reset.

The watch was offered at a reasonable price for a Seiko. The watch arrived very quickly and was well packaged. The problem is that I 've put the time and reset many times but it is still rapid. I had a local jeweler check the battery and he confirmed that it was the correct battery and had a lot of life. The watch is under warranty but I must ship to Seiko for repair because there is no local Seiko dealer. I suppose that the watch can be repaired, but it is disappointing because I 've purchased other watches for much cheaper and worked flawlessly out of the box. This is not what I expected to get from a company highly regarded as Seiko.

I just Recived my Seiko Orange Monster Automatic Diver. I also have a diver Esquire has just been presented, and an Omega Sea Master Proffessional. R rthe Seiko wrist is huge, but balanced. And for silver, and 21 Jewel automatic movement, it is a valuable part of my collection of watches. Even Swiss watches can not pack that much punch for the price of a watch.

I bought this watch for everyday wear and for diving in places that I would be nervous wearing my Omega Seamaster. I prefer a watch with some Heft it, so if you don 't want a heavy weight on my arm, it would be better served with a titanium or a Luminox watch. Compared to my Omega, the "Orange Monster " Heft and has a similar size. From a diving point of view, the luminous hands are actually easier to read my Omega and the unidirectional rotating bezel is easier to turn when wearing gloves. (Some might think the bezel is a bit 'too easy to get around, but I appreciate the fact that the indentations allow you to transform wearing neoprene gloves.) My only minor complaint is that the dial is actually in two pieces: There is a plastic exterior trim ring inside the watch resting on the main dial, which seems just a little 'cheap. Things I love are the Heft, style, the tactile sensation of the bezel, the engraving on the back of the case (very classy!) And the quality of the rubber strap. A big advantage is that the faceplate is slightly higher than that of the crystal, which offers additional protection against accidental scratches. Considering the price, this is my new favorite and watch what I wear more. Highly recommended!

Great price and recommend to all who are interested in purchasing this watch. Great all around Watch (Diving, Surfing, and daily use) And the best part NO BATTERY 'S !!!!! Automatic is the way to go! " R rThank you.

THE WATCH IS GREAT, GOOD SIZE Built well face, easy to read, durable! Orange and the face IS GREAT. Bought in IT WITH THE rubber, not metal bracelet. Much better.

I own a tag heuer, Luminox, swiss army among a few others I received my orange monster a week are so ago and i 'm very pleased with the quality of the watch it ' s not as refined as my tag but consider the price difference and it 'sa great value. I was very pleased with how quickly got my watch pavilion watch to me and their price was fantastic i will definitely order from them again

I bought very carefully for this clock, it was a clock instead of 12 years old and my first father 's Day gift. I wanted a clock that would be more than 12 years (I wear it every day), and that didn 't need batteries. The cases had to be at least stainless steel, my old clock was just pot metal, and after so many years, the acid in my sweat ate through and corrode the inside of the clock. R rI know people say it 's hard, but my other clock was a diver's watch and see, I don ' t really make a difference. I chose the model with the rubber strap, as I don 't care for those metals. I can 't explain why, but after about 10 days my skin had an allergic reaction to the rubber bracelet. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. Do I didn 't no objection to wearing the clock stopped, and now everything seems to be OK. I think my skin got used to it? R rthe shining qualities are great, they last all night. My last clock was not readable in the dark for about 2 hours. I've never saw this clock and not be able to read it. R rit 's not a quartz movement and I ' ve discovered them tend to gain about a minute per week. No biggie. To pay R RI for faster delivery and got it pretty quickly. I hate it w / oa monitor. I 'm confident that as this is never a dead battery I insert' ll never w / oa see them again.
